San Mateo, CA – April 30, 2024 – The San Mateo County Fair, a beloved tradition celebrating its 90th anniversary, is thrilled to announce its return from June 1st to June 9th, 2024. This year, the fair promises to be bigger and better than ever, with new attractions and surprises that are sure to delight attendees of all ages.
One exciting new addition to this year’s fair is the Great American Duck Racing, a fun and thrilling event that promises to entertain both kids and adults alike.
Additionally, Toytopia, takes visitors on a nostalgic interactive journey through the world of toys, featuring both classic and modern favorites. This exhibit will captivate young minds with engaging displays and hands-on activities.
Pacific Islands Day on Saturday, June 1st, will feature the Beats of the Islands, a cultural showcase featuring the vibrant rhythms and rich heritage of the Pacific Islands. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore captivating exhibits highlighting the diverse cultures and traditions of Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, and Tonga. This exhibit, located in Sequoia Hall, will be available for viewing on June 1st only. American Idol winner Iam Tongi (American Idol’s Season 21 winner) will Headline the concert on Saturday evening.
The fair will also feature its beloved attractions, including pig races, a butterfly exhibit, and an amazing concert lineup. Performers scheduled to take the stage include, Iam Tongi, Remember When Rock Was Young – An Elton John Tribute WAR. Super Diamond – Neil Diamond Tribute, All-4-One, Queen Nation, Banda Arkangel, Banda Los Lagos, and La Gran Sonora.
In addition to new exhibits and attractions, the fair will also introduce new food vendors. Bun Bao will be offering fresh stuffed buns of different varieties, while Fresh Express will be serving up delicious salads, sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, and cake slices.
