The San Mateo County Event Center & Fair proudly announces its role as the host venue for the highly anticipated annual SaaStr (Software as a Service) Conference, which took place September 6th to 8th, 2023. This three-day event brought together SaaS executives, founders, and venture capitalists for a dynamic experience featuring networking sessions, pitch opportunities with VCs and investors, insights from leaders in the SaaS industry, and immersive community workshops and classes.
In a remarkable demonstration of the resilience of in-person gatherings, the 2023 SaaStr Annual Conference, welcomed over 10,000 attendees!
This year, SaaStr Annual 2023 was extremely monumental, with over 25,000 attendee connections made, 3,200 hours of workshops and braindates hosted, over 50% of speakers were women, 159 sponsors and attendees that traveled from over 100 different countries! The conference included three days of immersive learning, featuring tactical sessions led by prominent founders, emerging voices, and industry leaders, along with insights from 289 speakers representing the world’s top SaaS companies. Attendees participated in over 1,000 networking opportunities, AMAs (Ask Me Anything sessions), mentoring sessions, one-on-one meetings, and roundtable discussions designed to provide actionable advice for scaling businesses from $0 to $100M ARR with less stress and more success.
The event placed a significant focus on engaging speakers who are driving innovation in the SaaS industry. Notable speakers for the 2023 conference included Anu Hariharan, Managing Director of YC Continuity at Y Combinator, Bernadette Nixon, CEO of Algolia, Ben Chestnut, CEO of Mailchimp, and many other influential figures. These speakers inspired and educated all in attendance.
At the heart of the SaaStr conference is a commitment to community support, offering attendees endless opportunities to collaborate and learn from peers across various roles, functions, industries, company sizes, and beyond. ABOUT THE SAN MATEO EVENT CENTER
During COVID, the San Mateo Event Center was unable to host most events but instead played a vital role in protecting our health care workers and most vulnerable populations by serving as a COVID-19 testing site, operations hub, and supply center, 250-bed temporary overflow hospital, and vaccine distribution center for the San Francisco Bay Area. To date, the Event Center has
administered 250,000 COVID-19 tests and vaccinated more than 90,000 individuals.
