Please Do Not Visit the San Mateo County Event Center Unless You Have an Appointment
Many critical and essential services are taking place at the San Mateo County Event Center. Increased traffic and nearby construction are expected so please avoid the area and only visit if you have an appointment.
The County of San Mateo and private health care providers are using the San Mateo County Event Center for appointment-only COVID-19 vaccination programs. These vaccination programs are essential to public health and will help us overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. Supply is extremely limited and vaccines are only accessible for eligible patients with a prescheduled appointment – drop-ins are not allowed. We expect increased visitors as the vaccine becomes more widely available so please be patient when driving through the area.
Visit https://www.smchealth.org/covidvaccine to learn about when you will be eligible to make an appointment through your health care provider to receive a vaccine.
Nearby construction projects to improve critical infrastructure will continue in and around the Event Center. The City of San Mateo, County, Event Center and Sutter Health are coordinating closely to manage the traffic impacts in the area. Traffic patterns are expected to change over the coming weeks, so please plan accordingly and follow all directional signs when visiting.
Jury selection for the San Mateo County Superior Court will continue to be held in a separate area at the Event Center. If you need to report for jury duty, please follow the directions on your Jury Summons.
