San Mateo, CA – San Mateo County has moved into the Red Tier under the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy, the San Mateo County Event Center is reopening operations at its Jockey Club Satellite Wagering Facility Friday, March 12.

The Jockey Club will be reopening Friday through Sunday for outdoor betting as allowed under the State of California’s Tier system.  Outdoor covered pari-mutuel betting will be open every Friday from 10:30am to 8:30pm and every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 10pm, capacity is limited.

For the health and safety of our patrons, The Jockey Club will require temperature checks before entry, patrons to wear masks and maintain physical distancing while visiting.  The Jockey Club will continue to provide a physically distanced layout, additional hand sanitizer and continued sanitization efforts.

“We are excited that San Mateo County has entered the Red Tier and that business in our community is able to safely reopen with modifications,” said San Mateo Event Center CEO, Dana Stoehr.  “We can’t wait to safely welcome our Jockey Club patrons back starting March 12, and will continue to do our part to support the community.”
